Our Plan Was In Motion
Our plan was in motion, we’d go two by two
Though when we arrived, we were five it is true,
For Baby had followed and perched on a limb
She knew that without her our chances were slim.
Now first was the dog with his threatening rage,
And then came the uniformed man with a cage,
And Tykie had waited as long as he could,
Regardless of whether he shouldn’t or should.
He sprang from the grass to the big parking lot
To the house where the window’s as far as he got,
The uniformed man with the cage saw him there,
His purpose to capture, to cage, and ensnare.
And just like the wind Tykie flew past the man,
The rest of us scrambling to figure a plan,
No plan did we have as we ran to and fro,
And our tale would have ended in pitiful woe,
Had not Baby so bravely from high on her perch,
Used nimble precision, combined with a lurch,
To leap from the tree to the man down below,
Arriving atop the man’s head with a blow.
And riding his head she distracted his gaze,
Allowing us all to escape from this maze,
And she got away just as easy as that,
Our hero today, our Baby Spy Cat!
Though Brin still remains at the Big House for now,
We’ll never relent and we make it our vow,
To see our dear Brin back at home yes indeed,
We will not give up until Brin has been freed!
